I first met Christian in 1998 when I interviewed him for a story on corruption and was immediately impressed with his straightforward professional attitude.
Since that time he has been involved in assisting the Daily Dispatch in investigations and has given advice on how best to research topics, many of which were in the public interest.
He has also proven his sense of community by volunteering to work free of charge for parents whose children have run away form home or disappeared.
The vigour and passion with which he successfully located two run-away teenagers in Cape Town, won him respect and praise from many people in this area.
Another case where he basically did the police’s work for them in catching a Liberian national who was duping businessmen out of thousands of rands, showed his resourcefulness.
Having studied private investigating in the United Kingdom and gaining several years experience in the trade in South Africa, I think he would be a great asset to any organisation.
I would describe Christian as loyal, professional and committed to his job.
